On March 9, 2013, a party of 1,300 guests attended the Spectacle Lunatique 2013 at Redmoon’s new amazing 57,000 sq. ft. home in Pilsen. The event was held to raise funds for artistic programming and community engagement, as well as to honor winner of Redmoon’s inaugural Community Galvanizer Award, Matt Moog.
As a Chicago innovator and winner for the award, Moog promoted his community in the digital space through Built in Chicago, 1871, and the FireStarter Fund. Up until now, he has brought hundreds of people in his community together through entrepreneurship.
Spectacle Lunatique 2013 successfully raised more than $400,000 at the soirée. It was an unforgettable night for guests filled with spectacle experience, extravagant music, specialty drinks, astonishing installations, and delightful culinary delights. Guests of the grandiose night also included Gigi Pritzker and Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
The evening was also brimming with unforgettable entertainment as the bubble man leisurely roamed through the event leaving an outburst of bubbles behind. A trio of hot air balloon servers were also floating through space serving a variety of appetizers and sweets in mid-air, and pedaling wine bikes were making their way through the crowds while serving guests.
Without a doubt, this was an unforgettable night for attendees of Redmoon’s Spectacle Lunatique 2013.
