One of the biggest luxuries we have is time. With schedules getting busier and busier, time is something most of us lack. With our packed schedules, most days we can forget about putting together a delicious and healthy meal that the entire family can enjoy. We’ve found an incredible solution for stressed out meal planners everywhere that will eliminate your trip to the grocery store, as well as trying to come up with meal plan ideas that are both healthy and tasty.
Meez Meals is an incredible delivery service that does all of the guesswork and prep for you. They come up with unique ideas every week, package ingredients, and deliver it straight to your door. Meez is bringing magic back into the kitchen again, making you excited to get to the part you love—the cooking. Our editors had the chance to sample the meals for a week and we fell in love with the food and how easy everything was to prepare. No chopping, no measuring, just cooking great meals that brought spice back to our dinner table. Each meal was more incredible than the last and all meals are vegetarian, but if you’re a meat lover don’t fret because they have suggestions for you to include it. We will say that we loved mixing a few vegetarian meals to our week especially in the new year, giving us wonderful, low calorie options to choose from.
The Creamy Spinach Bowl was the perfect guilt-free comfort food. The no-cream creamed spinach with a nutty wild rice with chunks of butternut squash that hit the spot on a chilly Chicago night. Everyone loved the Cheesy Tomatillo Casserole—this Mexican casserole was a cheesy delight, with a crunchy base, it was packed with poblanos, beans, pepper jack cheese and fresh tomatillo sauce. We’re still dreaming about that dish. This next dish was an unexpected hit. The Artichoke & Green Pea Farfalle brought new flavors to our table. Artichokes and peas cooked up in a white wine sauce and then mixed with farfalle, chickpeas and then topped with freshly shaved Parmesan brought an elegant element to what would have been a typical mundane weekday meal. The Thai Peanut and Sweet Potato Rice Bowl was a humble indulgence with the Asian peanut butter sauce tossed with roasted sweet potatoes, toasted organic tofu, wilted kale and brown rice. Next up, we felt the magic of the Mediterranean Foldover. With whole wheat dough, we were able to personalize the size of our flatbread and then add in all of the scrumptious ingredients including broccoli, cauliflower and goat cheese all with a Mediterranean sumac vinaigrette. If we were in a mid-day lull, the Edamame Hummus with Fresh Pita came to our rescue. Again, we made our own flatbread, then drizzled olive oil over the pre-made Edamame Hummus, and then piled on the best part—Olive Tapenade. We had no problems cooking any of these dishes, but if you do, there’s a dinner hotline you can call with questions. And, since meals change every week, you couldn’t possibly get bored.
