One of our favorite fall soirée’s is undoubtedly The Joffrey Ballet’s Couture & Cocktails. Created by Candace Jordan and Helen Melchior, it’s not hard to believe that the event is one of the most successful and stylish of the season now in its eighth year. Hosted by The Women’s Board of The Joffrey Ballet, over 300 of the city’s most fashionable ventured to the Park West for the fete, as tastemakers got the chance to fuse their love of fashion and the arts. We took in sneak peek performances of The Joffrey’s 2013-14 season including: La Bayadere, Episode 31, Romeo & Juliet, Russian Masters and The Nutcracker before checking out the latest and greatest of fall fashion courtesy of Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue. Notably, one of our favorite lead Joffrey dancers Fabrice Calmels took to the runway modeling a custom Tom Ford tuxedo.
Some of the stellar live auction items we instantly fell in love with included trips to New York Fashion Week, and a Los Angeles shopping spree at Jimmy Choo, Burberry, BCBG and Tory Burch, perfect for any fashion lover. After the show, we danced until midnight to DJ Matt Roan’s tunes.
The event raised $200,000 for The Joffrey Ballet. To get your tickets for performances, and to find out more about The Joffrey Ballet, please click here.
