On August 21st, we combined our love of food and fashion for Feast on Fashion with a champagne lunch at Balsan at the Waldorf Astoria to view the fall/winter 2013 collection by BHLDN. The Waldorf Astoria Chicago (previously the Elysian) is truly hands-down one of our favorite downtown hotels, partly due to the fact of its innate ability to feel as though we’ve been transported to Paris right here in Chicago. For this intimate gathering of writers, photographers and pure fashion lovers, we were in for a treat. For $45, guests were treated to a scrumptious three-course lunch while we viewed an utterly romantic new collection of formal and bridal wear. We started with a shared course of delicious cheeses and charcuterie, then a first course of caprese salad, making way for the main course. I chose one of the best grilled salmon’s I’ve ever had (with shaved zucchini & fennel, dill and pine nut) as models strolled by the table one by one in gowns and accessories that were just as beautiful as they were affordable! As I just celebrated my 10-year wedding anniversary, these dresses had me wanting another wedding with my husband! Here are just a view pics from the experience.
