Vertu, a pioneer and leading manufacturer of luxury mobile phones, was proud to be the headline of the second Vogue Festival, attracting over 400 people, and held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall at South Bank in London (April 27-28th) for fashionistas to get full access to the best talent and latest trends in the fashion industry. Full of fashion tips and insiders, Vogue Festival offered attendees the chance to ask all of the experts questions about fashion and everything the luxury industry is all about. From beauty to shoes, the line-up consisted of Victoria Beckham, founder of Net-a-Porter.com Natalie Massenet, Jimmy Choo Founder Tamara Mellon, Lanvin’s Creative Director Alber Elbaz, as well as, Donatella Versace the Vice President of the Versace Group. For all the beauty queens, there was a section devoted to all the high quality beauty brands such as Dior, Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. Beauty fans had the chance to play with bright lips, makeup and pose for Vogue covers. In addition to all of the activities, the Vogue Beauty team was in attendance to answer any questions. As attendees walked around, Laurent-Perrier champagne was served, along with many luxurious appetizers. Canapés that consisted of steak, chips, béarnaise sauce and rosemary lamb sticks with green tomato chutney were a hit, along with items like asparagus risotto chicken and lemongrass curry with jasmine rice. There is never a festival without drinks, but of course, Vogue Festival kept it classy by adding cocktails to the menu. The A-list sipped on rhubarb lemonade vodka, a drink with fresh lemon, baghera (vodka with fresh basil and vanilla syrup), and raspberry martini. Vogue Festival is truly an explosion of glamour that exposes and celebrates all the unique, innovative designers that have influenced fashion up until today. Not only was fashion celebrated, but Vertu’s recently launched product Vertu TI, a device that captures the materials and service a luxury mobile phone needs. Everyone enjoyed themselves and glorified all that fashion has to offer. – Alex Mariscal
