Sarah Jessica Parker – Hands down one of the best of the night, SJP went full out on this year’s Met Gala theme “Punk” and incorporated a Mohawk headpiece by Philip Treacy, Christian Louboutin boots and gown by Giles.
Miley Cyrus – Miley Cyrus was definitely channeling a 70s punk and grunge look with her Marc Jacobs dress. Spiked up hair, red lips and decked out in Eddie Borgo jewelry, it was evident that Cyrus knew the theme of this year’s exhibition.
Nicole Richie – Fashionista and designer Nicole Richie rocked the white almost grey hair on the red carpet with a dark lip that silently screamed edgy. Richie wore Topshop Unique, House of Harlow 1960 clutch and vintage Francesca Pepe ring.
Rooney Mara – Our favorite, Rooney Mara looked stunning accompanied by Riccardo Tisci, head of Givenchy, in a Givenchy Haute Couture gown with Jennifer Meyer rings.
Gwyneth Paltrow– Gorgeous as always, Gwyneth Paltrow looks elegant with Punk’s favorite color, pink. Pink is punk according to Anna Wintour. Paltrow rocks her bright pink Valentino Haute Couture gown with Wilfredo Rosado earrings.
Anne Hathaway – Forget about everything else, Anne Hathaway changes her hair for the Met Gala! Newly blonde, Hathaway wore vintage Valentino that rebelled against many showing a lot of skin in that sheer dress. After all, rebelling was a big component in the punk scene.
Taylor Swift – Taylor Swift is wearing, surprisingly, the color black with matching eyeliner. Swift incorporated Lorraine Schwartz jewelry in her look. Although the J. Mendel gown isn’t punk, this is the closest punk Swift will ever look, and we love it.
Katy Perry – The one that got away was seen on the red carpet rocking a Dolce & Gabbana dress with cross earnings and a crown for the full look.
Minka Kelly – Minka Kelly in Carolina Herrera…it was the perfect dress for her. The Herrera dress, in purple, had glitter all across the shoulders with a high neckline that showed off her punk side.
Amanda Seyfried – Right after showing her back to the public, the photographers went crazy for Amanda Seyfried. Seyfried, the new face of Givenchy’s fragrance, wore a backdrop vintage Givenchy Haute couture that showed off her back and made her look stunning.
