As a winter storm bombarded Chicago with several layers of snow this week, I was dreaming and planning my escape with this spring’s pastel trend. As I browsed Target.com from the comfort of my cozy home, I came up with my plan to take on the trend.

Pretty in Pastel
I am the type of girl who loves her basic little black dress, but what I’m really loving right now after a long, drab winter is picking up that L.P.D (little pastel dress) in shades of yellow, green and light pink and maybe adding a neutral blazer over it to finish the look.

Pop of Pastel
On busy days when I don’t want to think too much about my outfit. I may keep it neutral and do a pop of pastel. If you just want to add a pop of color or pastel to your wardrobe, opt for the light touches such as a pastel scarf or a pastel blazer.

Accessorize
Accessories are always a great way to incorporate any trend, including pastels! On those hectic days when I just want to add a touch of the trend, it’s all about the accessories!  That’s why I’m definitely going to pick up a pastel watch and/or handbag to incorporate the trend. When I wear my accessories, I’ll be keeping my outfit neutral or black.
