A star studded exhibit, David Bowie Is, features over 400 pieces of fashion, art, and music memorabilia celebrating icon David Bowie. It can now be viewed in Chicago (the only U.S. stop on the international tour) at the Museum of Contemporary Art. To celebrate, the MCA threw a splashy opening night gala presented by fashion house Louis Vuitton on Saturday, September 20th raising over $2.85 million for future MCA offerings. Over 750 guests enjoyed a first look at the exhibit, an exquisite Mr. Chow-inspired dinner and a studio 54-esque concert venue with a musical performance by musician Bryan Ferry where guests were served cocktails and desserts from glittery shirtless waiters. We spotted notable guests like Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Barney’s New York owners Richard and Lisa Perry, renowned art collectors Stefan Edlis and Gael Neeson, Charlotte Feng Ford, Kim and Brad Keywell, Nancy and Bob Magoon, Susan and Larry Marx, and Alberto Mugrabi. David Bowie Is exhibit runs until January 4, 2015 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago before heading to Paris, Australia and the Netherlands. For more info, click here.
