What: Bon Appétit presents Chicago Gourmet is introducing Rise & Shine Gourmet on Sunday, September 27th with a lineup of chefs and sponsors for a family-friendly morning of wellness, fun and food. 

Where: Maggie Daley Park from 8 to 11 a.m.

Why: A portion of the proceeds benefit Pilot Light, an organization founded by Chef Paul Kahan to “empower children with the knowledge, attitudes and skills they need to have healthy relationships with food”.

Details: Guests can take part in sunrise yoga led by Sarah Nash of  CorePower Yoga or the family-friendly run/walk led by the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA).

After, guests can indulge in brunch by the following (many are involved with Pilot Light, the beneficiary of the event).

LeeAnn Trotter, Entertainment Reporter for NBC 5 Chicago, will emcee Rise & Shine Gourmet, presented by UnitedHealthcare. Additional sponsors include the Illinois Restaurant Association,  KIND Healthy Snacks, Lifeway Foods, Inc., KitchenAid, Rishi Tea, CorePower Yoga, Chicago Area Runners Association, Stella Artois and Four Corners Tavern Group.

Tickets to Rise & Shine Gourmet are $55 for adults ages 13 and over; $15 for children ages 6 to 12; free for children under 5 years of age. Attendees will receive a Rise & Shine Gourmet t-shirt, a yoga mat and tote bag from KIND Healthy Snacks, along with other sponsor giveaways. Everyone will take home a family-friendly recipe from Chef Paul Kahan to try with their kids. Tickets are available for purchase here.
