Stacey Roney, Founder of Beauty on Call and Glossed and Found on her Home Style

What is your home style?
My home is traditional, focused around comfort for most of the time and entertaining the other, and my fashion tends to be the same. It’s either one extreme or the other.  The majority of the time I am in jeans and a t-shirt, but for entertaining, I am always in a dress and heels including when I was nine months pregnant. There is no in between. It’s interesting, I am not a great decorator with regards to wall art, etc., and I am not a great accessorizer with regards to jewelry. I guess I need to invest in both an interior designer and a stylist to get my life in order.

Loves
Great vases: My favorite is a Murano glass vase that my husband and I picked up on a trip to Venice. Fresh flowers: Botanicals do the most amazing job and they deliver right to my door. Antica Farmacista diffusers and candles: I put them in the entrance of our home so you are immediately drawn in by aroma of orange blossoms. Photos: I love candid black and white photos of my kids. The spontaneous photos are always the best and I prefer to put them in simple frames. Really comfortable bed linens: When I got married, we invested in beautiful Italian linens while on a trip to Montréal. They have been washed so many times that they are so soft but still look like new. Luxurious bath products: Not that I have time for a lot of baths with three babies, but when I do, I use Laura Mercier bath cream and body scrub in Crème Brûlée. It’s like bathing in dessert and it leaves your skin so soft. The packaging also looks pretty beside the bath. Great wine: We visited Silver Oak and Caymus while in Napa and bought several cases which we love to serve to friends. Espresso maker: It’s funny, neither my husband nor I really drink coffee, but my husband had to have this toy. It’s great for anyone who loves fresh ground coffee, cappuccino and espresso! Soft and cozy throw blankets: We love the ones from Restoration Hardware. They are inexpensive and come in several colors. We have one in several rooms in our house so it’s great for snuggling up with my kids. Heating lamps on our deck: We have a fun deck that overlooks the Chicago skyline with a fireplace and outdoor kitchen. Having the lamps allow us to use it during fall when the weather starts getting cold.
