Karl Lagerfeld brought his latest resort 2011 collection of Chanel to the streets of Saint Tropez, quite literally.
Models walked down the road (er, catwalk) as spectators peered at the latest collection from the chic sidewalk cafe Sénéquier Patisserie. The upcoming line is created to evoke the idea of being in the French resort town, featuring many sun-kissed colors that reflect iconic films and actresses such as Brigitte Bardot. As an addition to Chanel’s collection, a 17-minute film was made named “Remember Now.” Many of the ensembles have reference to the 60s and 70s with dresses worn over swimwear, light flowy shirts, short skirts and wide leg trousers. As a change to some fashion forward looks, many involved low-heeled sandals to bring more of a vintage look to the collection. Celebs who attended the show included Vanessa Paradis, Diane Kruger, Georgia May Jagger and Vogue's André Leon Talley.
