Inspired by waves and surfers, the Spring 2010 collection shows why Lela Rose loves the warmer seasons.

Rose used colors that resemble the beach, think blues, greens and naturals. A few pieces even resembled the rolling waves with vertical fabric rows. The focus of her collection was easy chic – luxury with not too much fuss. Cotton daytime dresses with open necks, floral printed jacquard pieces, navy pants – all very wearable, young and sunny.The simplicity of this collection is something that we loved – basic shapes with modern twists gives the garments an extra high-end push. Also, emphasizing the hips seems to be a returning trend on the catwalk.
