Fashionistas: prepare to get your green on!

Conscious Living TV presents the third annual Vert Couture Spring 2012 Eco-Fashion Show on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, under the tents at Millennium Park, 201 E. Randolph St. Now in its third year, this carbon-neutral charity event is one of four headlining shows during Fashion Focus Chicago.

With its runway nestled on the largest green roof in the United States, Vert Couture is the first eco-conscious show to present during Fashion Focus Chicago. This “Sexy & Sustainable” fashion show will highlight the continuum of Chicago’s sustainable, fair trade fashion movement, and feature the Spring/Summer 2012 collections of Chicago’s most talented designers, from rising ready-to-wear stars using renewable fabrics and vintage materials like Heart and Rosina Mae showcasing an eco-friendly swimsuit collection, to established fashion icons showing the best in luxury eco-haute couture like the award-winning Richard Dayhoff’s presenting his performance men’s underwear line and seasoned couturier Lauren Lein debuting her first eco-collection.

Vert Couture’s VIP guests will enjoy an organic cocktail reception and green lounge beginning at 6:00pm featuring Prairie Organic Vodka and gourmet hors d’oeuvres from Karyn’s on Green, eco-gift bags from The Green Goddess Boutique, and reserved priority seating for the runway show beginning at 7:30pm.
