Melissa Kolbusz rocks. Literally. While working at the Metro she made some jewelry to give away as Christmas presents, and then it hit her: I could do this for real! I guess the fact that people were buying the jewelry right off of her body while bartending gave her a hint. She earned her chops working with local designer Sue Rosengard, and is earning props for the way that her work features recycled materials.’ Elliptical Envy’ is a multi-strand bracelet made of…recycled alternator wire.

She sells her work through the Silver Room, I.D., and Under the Wire (her mentor’s location).
